1964t asked me about the redirects that have been made for this page. Airport Security, Fire Chaser, Fire Chief, Gleamer Patrol and Sheriff Patrol all redirect back to here. Brian created those redirects about a month ago.
- The reason that I did that is because this particular casting used all of the names above. I felt that it made the most sense to have all of those names forward to one central article, in this case Highway Patrol, so that all of the information could be captured in one place, rather than having fragmented or redundant information. --HWC Mongrel 18:24, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
i believe that all name changes constitute a new page for itself, the fire chaser was to be one of the 1979 cars that i was going to do with its own variations, as far as highway patrol is concerned there are only two variations, the sherrif patrol also deserves its own page as well as the rest, i want the names of these cars to be the direct link to their counterparts for reference as with the Army Funny Car to the Pepsi Challenger. as you can see they are not the same car nor is the Human Torch which i havnt created yet, i would like the redirects removed, thanks Dennis1964t 06:41, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
on the same note i would not like the maxi taxi, army staff car, police cruiser and olds 442 redirected to themselves, this makes no sense to me, why not group supervan, ramblin wrecker, emergency squad, paramedic, backwoods bomb, geoffreys van, ranger rig, khaki cooler, rescue ranger, etc all in the same page since most are similar and all use the same base. no i dont think so1964t 07:03, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

- Sure, no problem. I took out the redirects. If you want to create those pages, go ahead! -- Danny (talk) 06:24, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
