Look, here's what I was told, the very first day I joined here:
"Welcome and thanks for your help on the pages. About the picture sizes, 100px causes the table to re-adjust oddly and makes the other areas too tall. The picture are thumbnails so clicking on the picture will take you to the actual picture in the correct size. NathanMaelstrom610 19:02, 22 September 2008 (UTC)"
So, I don't know why he doesn't tell you the same thing. That's all I was doing, was passing on his warnings about 100px. If I can be told not to do it, I don't see why anyone else should think they're special and can be above this request. HaarFager 05:04, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Imitation is Flattery[]
I just tried AGENTAIR's Picture Technique so it would blend in with the page. Check out the FAO Schwarz edition.Vista69 01:02, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- Look, please don't take this the wrong way, and I don't say it as an Administrator. I say it as a professional photographer. It's nice to try and imitate people, but every first-year photography student knows that it is improper technique to have a line "growing" out of your subject, like these do. So, I wouldn't necessarily imitate these kind of photographs. Your own style seems quite nice.
- And, while I'm at it, images for things like this shouldn't have borders around them. Most websites of this type caution against incorporating borders and designs around images. And especially a Wiki, which is trying for uniformity, the pictures should all try to conform to the standard of that particular wiki. HaarFager 02:34, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, and your two images in the one slot threw off the table too much, so I created a Gallery and placed the second image there. Images that show off little details like yours does are great! HaarFager 02:36, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
