During the period that Hot Wheels was releasing 100% Hot Wheels, they offered the basic Pro Racing series when NASCAR was at its height in popularity, which were essentially closed curbside models. Consequently, Hot Wheels created some lines of NASCAR Stockers in multiple scales that, just like the 100% Hot Wheels, were highly detailed with intricate pieces, featuring opening hoods to reveal engine detail.
In this case they took the 2000 and 2001 Taurus Stocker and gave it the 100% Hot Wheels treatment.
