Description[]
The Toyota GR Yaris is a sport compact car manufactured by Toyota since 2020. Designed by Shōta Itō, Takeo Okuno and Byung-kang Cho, the GR Yaris was designed essentially as a homologation special for World Rally Championship rules. The car itself is powered by a 1.6L G16E-GTS turbocharged inline-3 mated to a 6-speed Toyota EA67F manual (although an 8-speed GR-DAT automatic has been made available since 2024); the car produces up to 300 horsepower. The car itself is all-wheel drive and is only available for sale in markets where the standard Yaris is sold; it is built on a dedicated production line at Toyota's Motomachi Plant. Markets which did not receive the GR Yaris would receive the GR Corolla instead.
