Toys R Us (or Toys Я Us) is American toy, clothing, and baby product retailer. it went defunct in 2018/ 2019. Since then, it has been nothing more but a website that still sells toys. And with being bought out by Macy's, Toys R Us appears as a corner store in some Macy's. In the past, Hot Wheels has released exclusive Hot Wheels found only in the store. Below is a list of those cars.
History with Hot Wheels[]
In 1976 the Super Van redline on a Mainline card with Mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe on sides on a white Super van, which is highly sought after piece in all conditions especially carded samples.
In 1998, two exclusive Toys R Us 10 packs was released featuring a Toys R Us theme '32 Ford Delivery & Blown Camaro. No.1 consisted of Ferrari F50, Baja Bug, Porsche 911 Turbo in purple
Also a variant for the Ferrari 250, Avus Quattro was exclusive in a 1997 TRU Multipack.
In 1998 the Timeless Toys 4-Pack was released. Also in 1998 Haulers Gift Pack (65882) (4 pack) with a exclusive Toy'R'Us exclusive deco.
Then in 1999 Timeless Toys II 4-Pack , the Coca-Cola Race Team 4-Car Set, & the Racing American Style 4-Pack was released.
Also, as part of the Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing game, which was only sold in Toys R Us, a Sweet 16 II was included.
In 2000 Timeless Toys III 4-Pack & Hot Haulers 4-Pack was released.
Then in that year, an exclusive Toys R Us 10 pack was released featuring a Toys R Us theme Probe Funny Car.
Also a Toys R Us theme Indy Racer was released in 2000 along with the Grand Prix 5-Pack from the Grand Prix Series.
In 2003, as part of the 100% Preferred line, there was a Toys R Us Mail In promo. Participants would receive 1 of 2 Volkswagen Drag Bus named as VW Microbus.
In 2004, Toys R Us released the exclusive 2004 ZAMAC First Editions series, being the first store to offer ZAMAC exclusive cars, almost a decade before Walmart's did. Also at Toy R Collectors day they gave away some VERY special prizes valuable prizes of like Convention Toy Fair special rekwaee Mea cars etc.
Also in 2004, there was a special Toys R Us Mail in promotion where participants would receive the special #101/100 2004 Mainline car; the Volkswagen Drag Truck
In 2009, for the Larry's Garage series, the Larry's Garage 21-Car Collection was released.
Working with Wal-Mart & Target, Toys R Us released the Fire Rods Series. Wal-Mart released the Military Rods Series and Target release the Cop Rods Series.
For the Battle Force 5 series, a Comic Book 7-Pack (Battle Force 5) was released.
In 2011, a Bone Shaker roof version was included with Toys R Us $10 gift card carded.
