Track Stars

Originally called Track Aces, Track Stars are a group of castings that perform exceptionally well on most Hot Wheels track and playsets. Typically, Track Stars are released with plastic bodies and a metal chassis to give them a lower center of gravity making them "stick" to the track all the better.

In 2008 Hot Wheels Trick Tracks were released.

Since about 2014 packages of castings indicate track star status on cars not in the series.

Since 2020, the cars now feature bright orange tires, and the packages of single die casts feature the car running on the iconic orange track.

The "Track Stars" name was dropped for 2022 onwards, being replaced by the HW Speed Team segment for 2022 and the HW Track Champs segment for 2023 and 2024.

The "Track Stars" name is still however used to signify a car's good performance on track in the international market.
