Ed Newton is a custom car designer and artist who worked with Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth starting the 1960's. In 1999, Hot Wheels released a 3-Car set of his designs including the Triclopz, based on a 1948 Tucker. It features a lift-up rear to reveal the engine compartment.

Ed Newton is a car designer who has his eyes on the future and his heart in the past. When you look at one of his creations you get a strange and wonderful sense of being in two places at the same time. The Triclopz is a brilliant example of Ed’s unique ability to create a vehicle by morphing classic, custom and retro designs into a futuristic, one-of-a-kind dream car. Now, this is a classic cruiser for the new millennium!
