Turnin' T was a casting planned for the Convertables: Roadsters series; it is a generic hot rod design styled after a Ford coupe. The casting appears to have been modified from the Model A Ford casting from 1980 judging from its overall shape and its use of Matchbox wheels; this is odd as Matchbox was not owned by Mattel at the time the casting was made, or when this prototype was constructed. It is assumed that as a Convertables, once placed in warm water, the color of the car will change all black, and the open interior will flip and change to a roof.
