sSometimes I have soo many images of Hot Wheels items that I do not know where to put some of them. As stated in my pages description I like to collect the oddities that from HW, and I can take a picture to prove their existence, but they are so odd, that I'm not going to page a page for them (example: a page for HW crayons, mask, tin box, etc.).
So I figured I could make this blog just to drop images of these weird items, and if YOU know of a spot or page that these images can be used, you have my full permission to use them. Thank you!
2014 Mainline Poster featuring Computer renders but not Prototypes
A HW Tin Case I personally used to collect magnets and Rev-Ups
i'm posting this so I can show people I am not making it up. I swear I saw this image and cannot find where. As you can barley see this was for the Batmobile 9-Pack. This image came out around the time alot of themed 6 or 9-pack where released, so roughly in 2021/2. I don't care much for the Batmobiles but the The Dark Knight Batmobile (Tumbler) in Black with White camo looked really cool and not a custom. Unfortunately I cropped this image so I cant reverse find where it came from. So any help would be great. The later I don't see any news of this, the more I believe it's a custom.
This is not HW. I just need help identifying this car. I got it cus I love Dodge Vipers and NFS Prostreet. It look like it came from some promo or Happy Meal but I cant find where.
There is a Dodge Challenger with the same promo. But idk where these car came from. There is a Hole in the rear for a launcher or something. Any info about this diecast would help (EDIT: Mystery Solved. This is from a 2007 Subway Happy Meal Promo. Thanks User:Combatbot2015!)
There is a Purple Passion version as well
This listing caught my eye because this appears to be a Rare, never discovered, NASCAR...
...there is a 1:24 version of this variant but the pictures appear to be the more desired 1:64 version....
....even this listing simply says this is a 1:54 scale car. There is no 1:54 scale NASCAR, did the seller mean to say 1:64!?!?
I have tried to come in contact with the seller ever since they took the listing down and they have never responded. I need to post these images to prove I'm not making this variant up, but in a way that editors won't delete the pics. Maybe Ill find another in the future to confirm it's existence.
I dont think this is a HW item but rather a Toy of a #44 HW NASCAR. If you disagree, feel free to put this in the Gallery of the correct page or create a page.
Buddy of mine sent me this pic. HW Bday hats which are neat. HW Inside Rides: Handheld Magnetized sets. This one is based on snowboarding, Ive seen a skateboard one.
MYSTERY! Can anyone identify the keychain car included in this bookbag? I think in the past they included a current year mainline, but this does not look like any of the 2017 Mainline cars.
Huge lot. Feel free to check out the Hot Wheels NASCAR
I highly suggest you get this book for you collection. I will be posting images from this book, citing this book and it's author Randy Leffingwell. This book came in a Hardcopy (my version) or a Hardcopy with an exclusive 8 Crate
An interesting section I found in the book. I am wondering if there is any media, images or News article about this. I do know there was a car associated with this event.
Some castings that I am too lazy to make for the 1:18 series. From Left to Right they are Dodge Viper GTS-R (1:18), Chrysler Panel Cruiser (1:18), BMW Z8 (1:18), Slightly Modified, Porsche 911 (1:18), Cadillac LMP (1:18)
I thought this was cool, but there doesn't seem to be a "series" to warrant a page. This is the only car I could find.
Collector Case ad in a 1996 Poster
Barbie's "Tommy" accessory pack with HW related items. and sorta a micro Hot Wheels car.
My old BW era display
This always bothered me for the 1997 Pro Racing line, but the Blister for the #43 STP car features a car that HW never made. This mostly Blue with Red sides #43 car came from 1996. Though the 2000 variant looks similar, it is different.
Jeff Gordon Matchbox NASCAR, the Super Stars series which ran from 1990?-1996. Yea since I have 95% of the HW Pro Racing line I am checking into this series on an old Mattel owned series.
This is an eBay listing of a group of NASCARs for sale. In the lot, at the Top Left, 3rd car down, is the infamous 2000 #42 Bellsouth Mobility car. This image is just to prove that others exist, this is the 2nd one I have ever seen, and this car is very rare!
So lately I have been collecting the Matchbox NASCARS line; the "Super Stars" series which is a line starting in 1990? - 1996. Amusingly 1997 is the year the HW Pro Racing series starts. And considering Matchbox is owned by Mattel I see it as a continuation.
Phil Parson's 1993 #29 Matchbox Chevy Lumina vs Kyle Petty's 1997 #44 Hot Wheels Pontiac Grand Prix Stocker
One thing I already picked up is the Matchbox 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix (left) is a rare casting. Only 4 variants exists, 2 of them being Christmas promotions. I have the #22 MBNA car, need to find the #36 Skittles car.
At this show I got probably the coolest Big Scale NASCAR. First it rolls with rubber tires (okay) but then its got a clock & alarm (ah alright) but its also got a working radio (no way) and lastly it's got a lazer that projects the time (no freakin way!).
From the 1988 Mattel Catalog is a bad image of the Sight N Smash set that is too ugly to create a page for, for now. Below is the Speed Trigger set.
Cool thing I bought at a discount store, a Ghostbuster Ecto 1 Blue Tooth speaker, now I am always ready to party on Halloween!
HW Watch from 1980s (Bruce Pascal collection)
Resin Model for the Lincoln Zephyr (page not created) (Bruce Pascal collection)
Here are the 2 MBX Corvettes that were made for the "All Chevy Show". This event was sponsored by the "Steeltown" Corvette Club. Only 20 of the Blue vettes were made and 100 were made of the Red Corvettes. (markscoolestwheels.com)
Halloween facemastk (creepy) (Bruce Pascal collection)
This is an image I've had for along time ago. This was from one of those sellers that post un-rivited prototype cars that are soon to come out. As of now, all the other cars in my saved folder have been released or planned to be released. But this interesting Custom '67 Pontiac Firebird variant, I have still not heard about. And just in case this variant never comes out, I am posting the image here. If there is news about this car finally coming out, I will delete this image.
Resin model of Big scale Barbie Corvette (not Hot Wheels model) (Bruce Pascal collection)
Motorcycle prototype. The name of the series is on the tip of my tongue, came out in the early 2000s as part of a (1/32?) scale Motorcycle series. Help me out yall :P (Bruce Pascal collection)
Wooden model for the Mattel's "Switch n Go" GT car (Bruce Pascal collection)
Christmas cookie tin. Lid is a memory game. As the sounds and headlights go off, you have to press the buttons on the roof in the same order to win.
Easter basket which includes 1 Tote bag, 2 Chalk, 1 Bubbletube, 1 Yo-Yo, 1 Waterbottle, 1 Puzzle, 1 Flying Disc, 58 stickers...and no HW cars :(
This was a cool idea for an Easter (2025) prize for my local diecast group. Finding these clear Egg shape canisters I filled it up with HW products. They reminded me of the early/ mid 2000s, when HW actual released these huge Easter eggs filled with 4-5 of their random products for Easter. Unlike HW baskets these days which dont have atleast 1 car :P

1994 Mattel ARCO Catalog Cover (Terry Choy collection)
Just a funny pic I had to share. Received this HUGE wooden display that totally fell and disabled me for some time :P
Porsche 911 GTR sorta looks like an unreleased casting...or could be a drawing.Thoughts? Same car appears in on a Storage Case
