Replacing user's images

Hi, I just wanted to say hi and let you know your pix are great. With that said, please do not replace images that are hi-res already. I see you replaced the new Asphalt Assault one that Sinnin had previously uploaded. Its okay if you upgrade images, but do not "upgrade" any that are perfectly fine. Thanks. If you do wish to replace someone's image, please get their permission first by showing them your picture. If both sides agree the new picture is better, then proceed with changing it. Thanks again! BigBadBrad01 20:06, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Brad I'll talk with Sinnin. --Natesrides 21:05, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

New Pictures

Please when adding image upgrades, Do not upload over existing files, Upload a new version. Then, if you feel it necessary to make an upgrade on an article, you can make the appropriate edits. -David-Sinnin 03:43, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

Youre going to need to be more specific.

If I'm upgrading that would imply that I'm replacing the existing photo. It goes hand in hand. So I'm unclear on what you mean. How might I add an improved photo to one that already exists in your mind?

Its simple. do not upgrade images. upload your own, then replace them on the appropriate pages. The reason for this is that, if a person wants one of their photos on their user page, uploading yours over someone elses completely displaces every link to that picture. Plus as you know it takes a lot of work to take pictures and add them in all the applicable places. So if you think your pictures are so superior that they need to be displayed instead, then you need to do all the work of adding them.Sinnin 04:21, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

Well I wasn't aware i was affecting any links that were of a personal nature. I was under the impression that the ugrade link was to be used for that very purpose. Maybe one of the admins can further explain if the upgrade link is intended only for the original uploader.
