Be careful what you delete.

Why you deleted the Liberty Promotions page? Miguelalegria (talk) 18:56, August 9, 2015 (UTC)

Liberty Promotions buses are not a Mattel product. They're essentially customs. This is a test 86 (talk)

It is a page of information. and it is fine where it is. Miguelalegria (talk) 19:18, August 9, 2015 (UTC)

respect others

You have very little respect for others, save drafts and Sharpen the pencil. Miguelalegria (talk) 16:15, August 17, 2015 (UTC)

How so? Was my reasoning not valid in regards to that page? It constitutes original research and is primarily based on someone's opinion. It is not built upon facts. That list is an example of fancruft. See the following link.

2016 Mainline

It seems like I want to do something that you don't want and you want to do something I don't want.

I do understand that none of us know how the 2016 mainline will look like so far, but all I want to do is to 'set up' the mainline totalling 250 with 10 car segments by default and adding cars when they're confirmed like getting a new computer and setting up before adding programs and other stuff. It would be a waste of time to add the segments again when there are informations confirmed. It wouldn't be much of a difference just by making minimal changes to the segments such as breaking up the segments into 5's.

I'm not trying to make you mad for constantly undoing your changes.

It is annoying with all of those "NA" boxes.

Stop undoing my edits

Hello. I have noticed you have undone almost all of my edits on different Hot Wheels pages. Why are you doing it? ℸℎℯℎℴℸωℎℯℯℓşℊμϒ99 (ℸαℓķ!) 17:20, September 3, 2015 (UTC)

All the 2016's are from a specific seller on ebay. All of the 2016's do not have a watermark. This is a test 86 (talk) 18:44, September 3, 2015 (UTC)
I don't watermark my eBay photos. I only watermarked my photos for my sebsite name to be on them. ℸℎℯℎℴℸωℎℯℯℓşℊμϒ99 (ℸαℓķ!) 22:43, September 3, 2015 (UTC)
Which brings us to the following questions then: How are you getting 2016 US Cards early? Does that mean you are ebay seller "jenni_collectibles_and_more"? If that is so, why don't your pictures on both and ebay match? Why is it that has a mix of international cards and US cards, but your ebay page only has US cards. Your talk page says you live in Rockford, IL. Ebay store with the 2016 cards is based out of Plano, TX. Something's not adding up.  This is a test 86 (talk) 23:38, September 3, 2015 (UTC)

New pages and Default sort

I see you've been creating lots of new casting pages. Just a note. If you leave the { {DEFAULTSORT:Casting Name} }, when you click on categories, it will not appear in it's righful place - alphabetically. You need to put the casting name there.Patty's Hot Wheels (talk) 00:48, September 9, 2015 (UTC)

Back to the Future Time Machine - Hover Mode

Hey. I’m a big BTTF fan but new to the Hot Wheels wikia. I appreciate that the new Hover Mode model is a separate casting, but I figured the Back to the Future Time Machine page was just listing all different scales and castings. Is that not the case? Should all the different scales listed on that page also be split off? Thanks for helping me understand how this wikia should be structured! Tonyruscoe (talk) 21:30, September 15, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I would assume the different scales should be split off, since the article should be referring to only the 2011 casting. This is a test 86 (talk) 04:56, September 16, 2015 (UTC)

Undoing Edits Made By Administrators

Just a head's up, but you shouldn't be undoing edits made by Administrators. Especially after what I said about the edit I made in the first place, and that it was valid. I'm talking about the "candidate for deletion" tag on the Hot Wheels Station Wagons page. Do NOT replace the deletion notice because the page does not need to be deleted or have it's name changed, there is a place for it here on the Hot Wheels Wiki. When a deletion notice is removed by an Administrator, such as me, you shouldn't try to second guess the Administrator. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 16:19, September 19, 2015 (UTC)

For the sake of discussion, why is the page necessary? Why can't station wagon castings be just category tagged as a "station wagon"? I feel this sets a very dangerous precedent of people starting random pages for "Hot Wheels Sedans", "Hot Wheels Pickups", "Hot Wheels Convertibles", "Hot Wheels Yellow Cars", et cetera. Would not a category page be more sufficient for groups of castings like these? I feel all the pertinent information regarding station wagons can be derived by a combination of a category and individual casting pages. I'm just not understanding what the purpose is when exists. This is a test 86 (talk) 19:19, September 20, 2015 (UTC)
I don't see why we need a separate page for station wagons either... ᵗʰᵉʰºᵗʷʰᵉᵉˡˢᵍᵘʸ₉₉ (ᵗᵃˡᵏ!) (ͨºⁿᵗʳ'ᵇˢ) 01:47, September 21, 2015 (UTC)
How old are the both of you? Kenny HaarFager (talk) 23:07, September 22, 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure what that has to do with station wagons, but I'm an adult. This is a test 86 (talk) 23:48, September 22, 2015 (UTC)
That's not the answer I was looking for. The reason why it's relevent is to find out if you grew up in the station wagon era or are a lot younger than that. Youngsters today don't even have a clue about what station wagons meant. I strongly think you fall into that category. And since I was 7 years old when Hot Wheels came out in 1968 AND my family had a station wagon AND Hot Wheels are little cars AND I was strongly into cars even at that young age, it's hard to explain that type of person to you if you are under 40. There is a need for pages like the station wagon page because it's about us, the fans of cars and Hot Wheels. There's a page for vans and Ferrari's, too. Why haven't I heard anything about those pages? Are you saying we don't need a page for Ferrari models? Kenny HaarFager (talk) 00:03, September 23, 2015 (UTC)
Just because you don't like the station wagon page or want it around, I do. If you don't like it, you don't have to look at it. But, for those that do want to look at it, it exists as another database to search. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 00:11, September 23, 2015 (UTC)
And besides, Hot Wheels are about the cars. It's better to see the actual vehicles than to have a plain group of names such as a category page would be. I want to see the cars, not read their names. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 00:17, September 23, 2015 (UTC)
Good point. I love Station Wagons and I see now why you want the page. I don't mind it. I just came across it on accident and thought it strange to be the only page like that. ᵗʰᵉʰºᵗʷʰᵉᵉˡˢᵍᵘʸ₉₉ (ᵗᵃˡᵏ!) (ͨºⁿᵗʳ'ᵇˢ) 00:21, September 23, 2015 (UTC)
I never said I didn't like station wagons. The '66 GTO Wagon and '71 Datsun 510 Wagon are two of my favorites. I just feel that it is better suited to be under the category page. Wouldn't you be able to merge all the info to the existing one? I just think that this sets a precedent for practically any grouping to have a page now. This is a test 86 (talk) 00:31, September 23, 2015 (UTC)
And what's wrong with any grouping? Pages are what wikis are all about. The more potential information we can have is only better. I note that you still didn't include your age. I'm 54 years old and am a first-generation Hot Wheels fan. Kenny HaarFager (talk) 00:45, September 23, 2015 (UTC)

'10 Shelby

Hi...apparently we don't understand each other. I added the 2016 version to the correct page and you came in and marked it for deletion saying it was the same as another Shelby. I moved the 2016 model over to that page and added a redirect to the page you marked for deletion. You then came and said it is not the same casting? I'm confused. ᵗʰᵉʰºᵗʷʰᵉᵉˡˢᵍᵘʸ₉₉ (ᵗᵃˡᵏ!) (ͨºⁿᵗʳ'ᵇˢ) (3,573 + ᵉᵈ'ᵗˢ!) 16:56, October 3, 2015 (UTC)

Ok...let's clear some things up.
1. There are two different castings, the '10 Ford Shelby GT500 which was released in the 2010 New Models and the '10 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake which was released in the 2011 New Models. They are different.
2. There is no '10 Ford Shelby GT500 or '10 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake in the 2016 lineup based on current information.
3. You added both 2015 releases of the '10 Ford Shelby GT500 to the '10 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake page. I deleted them because that is not the right casting.
4. The '10 Ford Shelby GT500 page already has the first 2015 release listed, the white K&N model. The Zamac listing hasn't been added yet.
5. I marked Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake for deletion because the actual name is '10 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake. It has never been released without the "'10" in its name. This is a test 86 (talk) 21:59, October 3, 2015 (UTC)
Ok. I get it. I will look at a picture of the model and look at the name and search for it here...sometimes I will check the 2016 casting page to be sure I have the correct casting. I have no idea how this got all messed up. Sorry for any inconvenience. ᵗʰᵉʰºᵗʷʰᵉᵉˡˢᵍᵘʸ₉₉ (ᵗᵃˡᵏ!) (ͨºⁿᵗʳ'ᵇˢ) (3,573 + ᵉᵈ'ᵗˢ!) 01:34, October 4, 2015 (UTC)

Billyagus97 (Talk)-17:24, November 19, 2016 (UTC).

Let's get some things straight. The Shadow MK IIa is a real car. The Shadow MK IIa is licensed under permission by S-MARQ Services. The legal fine print of the packaging shows this quite clearly. Whatever you say about this car being in some video game has NO bearing on whether this car is licensed/unlicensed. Do you understand?
Excuse me? I have never added anything with "annoying facts" or "opinions". All my edits are based on straight, hard facts. There are no place for opinions within articles. What makes you think I don't like unlicensed cars? Just because I keep on deleting that category from the Shadow? I'm only doing that because it is CORRECT. What are you talking about? I didn't do anything with the Way 2 Fast in regards to licensed/unlicensed. But since you brought it up, I'm changing Way 2 Fast back to unlicensed. Arrow1 added a picture of a car that looks similar to the Way 2 Fast. That doesn't mean that Way 2 Fast is licensed. Look at the back of its packaging. It does not have ANY licensing information, meaning it is NOT a licensed car.
Montezooma is LICENSED. It has GM trademarks on the bottom of the car. Are you asking why Montezooma is licensed and unlicensed? It's because YOU CHANGED IT to unlicensed on 10/07/15 after I changed it to LICENSED on 10/04/15. This is a test 86 (talk) 06:20, November 20, 2016 (UTC)

2016 and 2017 Store Exclusives

Hi, since Store Exclusive models are not part of the mainline they should not appear on those lists. Mainline models are "everywhere" available and Store Exclusives not. It would be best to create a different page for that "series". Perhaps you could link to that page from the Lists. Stephan3321 (talk) 12:24, December 3, 2016 (UTC)

I beg to differ. These store exclusives are mainlines. They come in mainline assortments, have the same mainline UPCs, cost the same as mainlines, and come in the mainline factory set. This is a test 86 (talk) 19:16, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
But they are only available in America and not in the rest of the world... So, not really mainline but American store exclusives. Stephan3321 (talk) 21:44, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
The distribution of the cars does not really change the fact that they are mainlines. Are 2013-2016 Zamacs not considered mainlines? Is every single Kmart exclusive not a mainline? No, they are all mainlines regardless if they are restricted to one chain of stores or available worldwide. If these exclusives share the same UPC barcode as non-exclusives, how can one be a mainline and the other not be? This is a test 86 (talk) 16:06, December 4, 2016 (UTC)
Also, southtexasdiecast and hobbydb both classify them as mainlines. This is a test 86 (talk) 16:08, December 4, 2016 (UTC)
BigBadBrad01, I would like to know what your opinion is about this subject. Stephan3321 (talk) 18:25, December 4, 2016 (UTC)
They are mainlines (or what Hot Wheels refer to as "basics" internally). They come in the same cases. BigBadBrad01 (talk) 19:08, December 5, 2016 (UTC)
In that case, I stand corrected :) Thanks for clearing that! Stephan3321 (talk) 22:26, December 5, 2016 (UTC)

Canadian Cars

Regarding your changes, my category for American cars only covers models made in the US if said model is assembled in the US and Canada, but the Lumina for the generation of Lumina depicted was only assembled at the Oshawa factory in Ontario. Now, you can do research on this and as adults I trust we can both seek out the information for our points in a respectful manner. I can see why you placed the lumina in the American category, but only the first and last generations of Lumina were assembled outside Canada. The Z34 version used by NASCAR in the 1990s was assembled in Oshawa, as were all subsequent models until the final generation, which was Assembled by GM Holden in South Australia and exported back to North America. The category for American cars only applies for cars assembled solely in the US, or both Canada and the US, but as information can be difficult to come across on which specific variations were made where can be difficult and E-mailing car companies to get the specific information as a High-school student can be frustrating and fruitless, I will create a category for cars assembled on both sides of the border, but that's for another day. --JDM My Ride (talk) 00:30, May 4, 2017 (UTC) 二千十七年五月三日星期三'

You're doing it again. We don't need random categories for where cars are assembled. It's barely pertinent to Hot Wheels itself. You are confusing Hot Wheels with real cars. The Lumina is a Chevy, and one produced for the American market, therefore an American car. This is a test 86 (talk) 03:32, May 4, 2017 (UTC)
I see what you're saying as a contradiction. If the categories for the nationality of car is irrelevant, then why did you post the Lumina Stocker in the category for American cars if it's irrelevant where the car is from? Also, If a car intended for the American market classifies as an American car, then cars like the Honda Civic Si (2006) and the Custom '01 Acura Integra GSR are American, because they are US-spec models, even though the cars are actually Japanese vehicles. Just because a car is intended for the US market, doesn't make it American.
Also, if the categories for the country of origin was irrelevant @User:Stephan3321 would not have given me permission to create the category for American cars in the first place when I asked him if it was acceptable. Also, I will place the Lumina back in the category for Canadian cars.
My edits are not vandalism and User:Stephan3321, who is an Admin as well as you has not told me my categorizing practices are irrelevant or in violation of any rules or guidelines. As a collector, I collect based off the country of origin the car comes from. There are collectors out there who only collect cars from Japan or the US, everyone has their own style of collecting, some only go for muscle cars, others only go for trucks, some just collect everything and anything.
To quote Hot Wheels Wiki:Administrators :
Administrator powers should be used to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge". The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community.

--JDM My Ride (talk) 14:39, May 4, 2017 (UTC) 二千十七年五四日星期四
Let's straighten some things out. First and foremost, the Lumina Stocker is a stock car version that would never have rolled off a Canadian assembly line or any other to be exact. This would have been hand built. Second, the Chevy Lumina is a car made by an American company made in Canada to be sold in the US. Therefore it is an American car. A car made in Japan and sold in the US is still a Japanese car. A car made in the US by a Japanese company and sold in the US is still a Japanese car. The Lumina is an American car by virtue of it being made by an American company for sale in the US. Third, one does need permission from anyone to create categories. This is a test 86 (talk) 22:57, May 4, 2017 (UTC)
All you have to ask is "Where was the Lumina designed/engineered?" The answer is US. It sure didn't happen in Canada. This is a test 86 (talk) 23:09, May 4, 2017 (UTC)
If we are going to debate design and engineering, then the Volkswagen Golf GTI counts as Italian, because the styling was done by Ital Design in Italy, Pinnanferrina did the design for the French Peugeot 205, but even though the design was done by the Italians, it's a French car. Another example, the Delorean, which was again, Italian designed and engineered, but made in Northern Ireland. Also, the Lumina was not Exclusive to the US, there are still a few on the roads here in Canada. Also, the 1974 Brazilian Dodge Charger was engineered in the US, but due to Brazilian law, assembled there and in the casting name itself, the car is Brazilian. Same logic goes for the Chevrolet SS, desigjne dby Opel, but again, Brazilian built.
--JDM My Ride (talk) 23:31, May 4, 2017 (UTC)二千十七年五四月日星期四
You're confusing nationality with place of manufacture. There are 3 possible categories: (1) cars by nationality, (2) cars by intended market, (3) cars by place of manufacture. You're trying to claim the Chevy Lumina is Canadian by way of (1) when it is Canadian by way of (3). Keep in mind a car can have different places for all three categories. The nationality is going to be determined by where the parent company is. For example, the '10 Toyota Tundra is a Japanese car for USDM made in America. The Chevy Lumina is an American car for USDM made in Canada. The '06 Honda Civic Si is a Japanese car for USDM made in Japan.

The Lumina is not Exclusive to the USDM though. I have seen Luminas, all of them from the 1990s and I live in the Canadian Midwest. The car was not solely made in the US, you are using the market to claim it as an American car. The Lumina was manufactured in Canada for Both Canadian and US sales. Again, if the you're counting the parent company's origin as the origin of all subsequent models, the Chevrolet SS counts as American, even though it was only made in Brazil. The Lumina was sold in both the US and Canada (Category 2) and was made in Canada (Category 3) Though made by the American brand, Chevrolet, but Chevrolet being American, doesn't make it's Chevrolet SS American.

Licensing on certain images

Hi again. You seem like the person who seems to be most itchy about watermarks and licensing and I have an inkling that if I put up a certain image (I didn't get it from the internet) on the page for the casting Audacious. The image Is a CGI graphic I got from the back of the Night Burnerz 5-Pack. Please tell me posting that is not in violation of Mattel's copyright rules, because that image looks good and I think would be a worthy addition to the page for the casting. --JDM My Ride (talk) 14:10, May 7, 2017 (UTC) 二千十七年五月七日星期日

Category names

I do not agree with your assessment that use of slang, such as TunerZ, is innappropriate. The names of categories should be recognizable to the fans. Since Australiancarlover appears to be a fan of the TunerZ series, I see no logical reason for this ban. Please help me understand how this is not just one administrator dictating their own views into how others should be allowed to organize the wiki? Patty's Hot Wheels (talk) 15:46, June 10, 2017 (UTC)

It's simple. The word "Tunerz" in relation to Hot Wheels, only refers to a specific series of exaggerated cars from 2002. Using the word "Tunerz" to describe mainline castings is incorrect since Mattel has NEVER referred to them as such. It is not a term that anyone uses to refer to anything as well as it not even being a real word. If you want to categorize something like "Brit Tunerz" make it into "British-styled modified castings" or something of that sort. This is a test 86 (talk) 02:32, June 11, 2017 (UTC)
My apologies for still not understanding, because frankly, your argument makes no sense. Firstly, a quick internet search on TunerZ refutes your contention that it is a term, that
not a term that anyone uses to refer to anything as well as it not even being a real word.~This is a test 86 (talk) 02:32, June 11, 2017 (UTC)

This ban on using slang sounds made up and personal to me. Especially considering there is nothing in the rules about it. And the way you are trying to act and sound all official about it, seems familiar and scary. If there were some REAL administrators around here, that kind of behavior would NOT be tolerated and YOU sir would be banned, because I side with Australiancarlover, in that you undoing his work, is tantamount to you declaring his work vandalism, most especially when you undo edits without first discussing. And that sounds a little dictatorial. It's amazing how fast being handed a little power corrupts the soul. Patty's Hot Wheels (talk) 13:49, June 11, 2017 (UTC)

I myself second that. There is nothing in the Editing Rules and Guidelines about the use of terms used on Hot Wheels products to give the wikia a more fandom-esque feel. Hot Wheels Wiki: Administrators Quote "Administrator powers should be used to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge". The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community."

Furthermore, if a rule doesn't exist in the Editing Rules and Guidelines, it isn't a rule and cannot be enforced. Also, these edits were in Good Faith and not vandalism so therefore this is a case of Abuse of the Admin Abilities. Thank you for your time and I sincerely hope we can resolve this manner in a peaceful and polite manner.

This wikia should emulate the Matchbox wikia in terms of style and feel. They don't use ANY slang terminology for categories. This is a test 86 (talk) 02:42, June 11, 2017 (UTC)

Patty's Hot Wheels i agree with you man, why slang is vandalism too? this wikia now screwed since This is a test 86 become admin. well unlike unofficials hot wheels wikia feel free your edits and only little bit rule we have, no racist, no bullies, no porn, no bigotry and no buy/no sell or give some links of online shop. even unofficials hot wheels wikia allowed you to put your own descriptions of hot wheels castings. if you want join the unofficials one, PM me. and i feel sorry for australiancarlover. but i respect what your edits. I Feel that because this is a by-in-large fan-made site and not the work of Mattel themselves, what need is there for a ban on Slang? This isn't the world of big business on this site, just a fan-made Database and community for the one thing we all love on this site; Hot Wheels. Like User:Patty's Hot Wheels said, the ban seems personal and Made up. A rule that does not exist cannot be enforced. I used the name "Brit Tunerz" because you told me "Cars with JDM Modifications" was too long for a category name. The name "British-Styled Modified Castings" is a bit long and wordy and "Brit Tunerz" is short and to a hot wheels fan like pretty much everyone else on this site is easily recognizable as British-styled modified cars. --JDM My Ride (talk) 15:32, June 11, 2017 (UTC) 二千十七年六月十一日星期日

If a poll is being taken, I side with those who think TunerZ is an appropriate category name.
