The Volkswagen Corrado is a compact four-seat liftback coupe produced by Karmann in Germany for Volkswagen from 1988 to 1995. Designed by Herbert Schäfer, the car essentially acted as the replacement for the Scirocco. The VR6 was a more performance-oriented version of the Corrado, featuring a VR6 engine, wider front track and slightly updated styling. Production ended in 1995, to be replaced by the Scirocco. 97,521 were produced.
