Promoted from Tyco R/C Project Manager to core Hot Wheels brand. Led Innovation Small Vehicles team, along with Track and Play Sets team.
Managed direct reports of five design staff members and larger cross functional project teams of up to twenty-four members between El Segundo, Hong Kong, and China. Responsible for a project base and grew the brand through new product introductions supporting new sales equaling 160-200 million dollars per year. This was achieved by continued development of design staff members (full 360 skill set). Second, by improving or fine tuning the established processes, and in some cases, completely changing other set processes. Adding to the ideation data base and re-reviewing past ideation in said data base to identify potential new product ideation to development. Continued to review creative process to improve cost margins and viability. Managed design staff, outside vendor teams, brainstorms, and all related budgets (staff, project, and external). Provided product direction regarding aesthetic and innovation development within budgets approved and on time.
Projects: Wall Tracks line. Batman, Cars, Cars 2, Toy Story 2 and 3, Green Lantern, Speed Racer, Max Steel track and play sets. Also designed the basic and collector Die Cast Volkswagen Brasilia and ’76 Chevy Monza Race car.
